Now look at the pictures below.

Describe what you see.

Bat lives in Mongolia with his family. They live in a ger, a round home that is easy to move. His family moves to different places during the year because they keep animals.

They have horses, sheep, and goats.

Every morning, Bat helps his father. He takes the sheep to a new field, and his father thanks him. Later, his mother makes tea and prepares lunch. She teaches him how to make traditional food, and he enjoys helping her.

In the afternoon, Bat rides his horse to visit his uncle. His uncle lives a few kilometres away, and Bat often sees him. They talk about the animals and the weather. Sometimes his uncle gives him fresh cheese to take home.

In the evening, the family sits together inside the ger. They tell stories, drink hot tea, and watch the stars. Bat likes this life because it is quiet, and it keeps him close to his family.

Language analysis
